Vietfish 25 year journey

With the 25-year golden milestone, Vietfish 2024 will continue to be an attractive event with many trading activities, signing contracts for purchasing and supplying aquatic products, and strategic cooperation in the field of aquaculture and seafood processing. In particular, this year Vietfish will have many innovations to make the experience more complete.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, VASEP President, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Sac said that after 25 years of organization, the scale and activities of VIETFISH Fair have been increasingly improved, becoming highly professional to meet the needs of domestic and foreign enterprises, deserving to be an important annual event, the largest gathering point of all leading seafood producers and processors in Vietnam and international partners.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien believes that Vietfish 2024 will continue the successes of the past 25 years, continue to affirm the quality and value of Vietnamese seafood in the world market, while increasing the proportion of deeply processed, diverse and convenient products, and be the convergence point of the quintessence of the seafood industry, connecting businesses in the entire supply chain towards comprehensive development of the seafood industry. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recognizes and highly appreciates the role of VASEP and its members not only in the field of seafood processing and export, but VASEP plays an important role as a bridge between the State and businesses, providing timely advice for state management, especially in the fight against trade barriers in import markets. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is committed to working closely with VASEP, the Vietnam Fisheries Association, fishermen and Vietnamese seafood enterprises, paying attention to listening and removing difficulties and obstacles so that the Vietnamese seafood industry can develop further, maintain its position in the TOP 3 and higher in seafood exports in the international market.

Expanding the exhibition area

After 25 years, for the first time, the VIETFISH international exhibition has expanded to hall B1, increasing the total area from 10,000 m2 to 14,000 m2 to meet the needs of exhibiting and promoting businesses in the seafood supply chain. This area also creates more space for the Organizing Committee to carry out demonstration activities and trade more conveniently. In 2024, the participation of seafood suppliers such as the US with famous Alaska salmon products, wild-caught seafood from Indonesia, India, Russia, Japan, China... will bring many interesting experiences to visitors.

“Cooking show ” - an interesting highlight for visitors

The “Cooking show - try delicious seafood” area at Vietfish is always a favorite highlight of visitors, especially domestic consumers. This is not only a place to introduce diverse flavors and quality products of Vietnam that are famous in the world market, but also a place where consumers can experience beautiful and attractive culinary performances by professional chefs. For a country with a rich culinary culture like Vietnam, the creativity and combination of familiar ingredients such as soy products, tropical spices, vegetables, etc. are always focused on by chefs to enhance the flavor of seafood dishes.

Promoting export-standard seafood marketing for domestic consumption

Vietnam has exported to more than 170 countries and territories; Vietnamese seafood products are present on supermarket shelves worldwide, including the most modern and prestigious supermarket systems in the world in the US, UK, Europe, Canada, Japan, China, etc.

The theme of Vietfish 2024 is "Exported seafood for Vietnamese people" with the ambition to bring export products around the world to the domestic market, contributing to the rapid growth of Vietnam's potential F&B industry. Vietfish hopes to be an effective promotional channel, contributing more nutritious and convenient food options to Vietnamese family meals, meeting the diverse culinary needs of the young generation of Vietnam who are increasingly approaching the changes in consumption in the world.

Within the framework of Vietfish 2024, there will also be a series of seminars on promoting sustainable development of Vietnam's aquaculture and fisheries industry, contributing to providing partners and guests with information about the industry and the development orientation of Vietnam's fisheries industry towards sustainability and integration.

The exhibition will welcome visitors from 9am to 5pm every day from August 21 to August 23, 2024, and is expected to attract 17,000 visitors.
