After Timor Leste, Japan, and Singapore, Indonesia has successfully expanded its poultry export market to the Middle East. On October 7, Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm sent 57,600 broiler-hatching eggs to Dubai, with a target of 100,000 eggs/per month. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia also exported hatching eggs to the UAE on October 10 and continued every week during October, with total exports reaching 460,800 eggs.
“This confirms the ability of Indonesian poultry to compete internationally and shows the company’s commitment to increase exports,” said Director General of Livestock and Animal Health, Agung Suganda.
He emphasized that his office encourages national poultry businesses to contribute to the global supply of poultry commodities. Although Indonesia still has a low global market share, in terms of poultry production volume, it occupies the fourth position.
